Austin, Texas Senior Portraits

As soon as Aubrey asked me to take her senior photos, I knew I was going to ADORE her. She right off the bat said something along the lines of wanting her pictures to be unique and messy and going against the grain. So, of course my response, “heck yes- immediately count me in!”

And that’s just what we did. She loves art, creating, all things flowers! So we did our best to incorporate all of what embodies her as a person into her senior photos. Not only do I adore her for her love of art and wanting to stand apart, we just automatically bonded and I knew from the get go (as cheesy as this sounds) that she no longer is just a client to me- but a friend. I genuinely just think she is so rad and she carries a confident and bold energy that is magnetic!

We started off at Austin Flower Co. to take some of her more “traditional” photos where she gets to announce the school she decided to go to (shout out St. Edwards, baby!!!) and although I say traditional, we still had to add a little spunk to it which was why we chose to use to the plant shop to do so! It’s vibrant, refreshing, lively, which I feel like is such a reflection of who Aubrey is, as well. And if you want to go a little deeper, her pictures there say classy but fun which I also feel Aubrey embodies!

Then we decided to hop on over to a field where she could run around and let things get a little messy and free! We came up with the idea for a picnic where we got to incorporate art, and fruits, and flowers and just all the good vibes. It all just made so much sense and I loved every second of it. What was even cooler was she later told me that the bouquet that she brought with her, her mom and her literally put that together themselves. I’m thinking, “wow, you guys are just a creative little family and I am lovin’ on all of it!” So anyways, we roamed around the field for awhile and played with the flowers and did lots of twirling and all around just had such a beautiful time. And I am just abundantly grateful that I got the privilege of capturing such a monumental moment in her life!

Now, may she blossom and flourish and thrive! Spread your wings, queenie!
